41st Annual Fletcher / Falcone Charity Golf Tournament:
The annual Westminster Elks Fletcher-Falcone Golf Tournament is now only days away. Here are the updates on some changes we are making because of the Covid-19 situation. We will follow all CDC guidelines and state regulations to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved in the tournament.
First, the Golf Committee sincerely thanks everyone for their continued support of this event, which annually raises thousands of dollars for college scholarships for deserving Carroll County students and programs that benefit our youth and children.
It goes without saying that this has been a very trying year for all of us, The committee is overwhelmed with your continuing support as sponsors and participants. Without your help our efforts to support these programs would not be possible.
Here's what to expect at this year's event:
The tournament will be held Friday Oct. 2, with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. There will be a registration table for you to check in and we will help you find your cart. We will not be selling tickets at the registration table.
Your $110 entry fee will include all of the following this year:
* A round of golf.
*Lunch at the course, outside in the pavilion, with beer on the course and at lunch. Hand sanitizer will be available. Lunch will include burgers and sausages, which will be served to you. Sides will come in self-contained packaging. Iced tea and lemonade will be served.
*There will be a longest drive contest on a designated hole, with a prize for men and ladies.
*A "goody bag" for each player containing snacks and a sleeve of balls.
*Instead of par 3 prizes, every name will be entered into a contest for door prizes.
*Mulligans will be available at $5 each or a maximum of four for $20. Tickets will not be handed out. There will be envelopes in every cart for those wishing to purchase mulligans to place their money. Volunteers will be coming around during the round to collect them.
*The basket of cheer will be available, but instead of buying raffle tickets everyone registered will be entered for the drawing.
*Masks must be worn when in the club house, so please bring one along with you.
All of these changes are designed to protect our players, golf course staff and volunteers. We ask that congregating be avoided if at all possible
PLEASE PAY EARLY, if you haven’t paid for your sponsorship or your foursome, please do so by mid September. If you would like to contribute this year and haven’t committed, please reach out to Jim Aumiller.
We hope that everyone has a fun and safe day of golf, knowing that your participation makes it possible for Westminster Elks Lodge 2277 to continue its long tradition of helping the youth of Carroll County.
